Land Rover 300tdi engine conversion kit
Engineered, tried and tested

This kit was created by former Formula Ford designer, Indy Car race engineer and Land Rover enthusiast Alan Langridge.
In 2022, the first prototype kit was fitted into a Land Rover 90 2.5D for trials. Over a month the Land Rover covered more than 250 miles (400 kms) of trouble-free serious off-road testing. The power transformation was impressive. This D90 had tiny 205 x 16 tyres. On the open road, we were searching for 6th gear! Bigger tyres would have been the answer!
After the test, additional modifications were made which included a fully enclosed serpentine belt cover, a Defender 300tdi air cleaner system and an exhaust front pipe that fitted both 2.5D and 2.5TD models. A snorkel to complement the air cleaner system is on the way.
In 2023, while the kit was being productionised, pre-production kits were fitted to a 110 2.5TD HCPU and a 90 2.5TD. To date the 110, being the first, has covered over 5000 kms without issue.
The first Paddock Spares supplied production kit was delivered to Stand 4x4 Garage in January 2024. This was fitted into a Tithonus.
In May 2024, AED installed a kit into a 90TD to use as their demonstrator.
